About Me:

In 2000 I saw Almost Famous for the first time and instantly fell in love with concerts, venues, and entertainment operations. After graduating from both Wilfrid Laurier University and Fanshawe College’s esteemed Music Industry Arts program I partnered with producer/live production expert Dave Houde to open The Sound Distillery, Kitchener’s largest recording studio from 2010-2017.

RECORDING:

The Sound Distillery, a recording studio located in downtown Kitchener, was helmed by Dave Houde and I, who were dedicated to providing musicians with a unique and quality recording experience. Offering services ranging from recording and mixing to artist development, we prided ourselves on our close relationships with clients and our commitment to long-term success. With a stylish studio and a focus on creating impactful music, we navigated the challenging music industry with optimism and determination. Beyond our studio work, we engaged with our community and were involved in projects supporting at-risk youth in the arts. Drawing a diverse range of musicians, The Sound Distillery aimed produced timeless records while incorporating both classic and modern elements. Our commitment to excellence and community involvement set us apart in the industry, embodying a passion for music and its transformative power.

In 2016 I met Centre In The Square’s general manager Rob Sonoda who brought me on board to lead the marketing and box office for Centre In The Square which changed the course of my career in way unimaginable.

CENTRE IN THE SQUARE:

With a wealth of experience in venue management and entertainment industry relationships, I spearheaded diverse initiatives at Centre In The Square, showcasing my expertise in the entertainment industry, ticketing, budgeting, marketing, and community engagement. From directing box office services for various local venues to leveraging fan data through platforms like Paciolan and Google analytics, I have consistently maximized revenue and identified growth opportunities within programming calendars. Under the mentorship of Rob Sonoda, I honed my skills in producing press releases, expanding social media reach, and fostering surplus growth, evident in Centre In The Square's eight consecutive years of surplus. Notably, I have orchestrated events in unconventional spaces, such as the Kitchener Public Library, and led a dedicated team overseeing box office services and event content capture.

My journey encompasses a spectrum of achievements, including the cultivation of robust digital ad campaigns across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google Adwords and TikTok, the establishment of marketing automation systems for enhanced ticket sales, and active participation in weekly programming meetings for venue management. Additionally, my engagement at the annual Pacnet conference underscores my commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and sharing insights on leveraging fan data effectively. Through strategic planning and team leadership, I left an indelible mark on Centre In The Square, contributing to its growth and success while continually advocating for community representation and revenue generation.

To Centre In The Square I offered cutting-edge strategies to enhance concert tour visibility and for aritsts increased album sales. Utilizing comprehensive marketing campaigns, social media, influencer partnerships, and data-driven insights, I maximized tour attendance and ensured effective album promotion.

Tour PR and Arts/Sports Organization Consulting: Specializing in public relations tailored to concert tours, I generate anticipation, manage media relations, and created engaging promotional content. Additionally, I provided operational efficiency reports, optimizing management, logistics, and strategy which lead to almost a decade of surplus’ for Centre In The Square.

  2. Theatre/Concert Venue Optimization and Comprehensive Marketing Campaigns: I focused on optimizing theatre and concert venues for better customer experience. I designed captivating marketing campaigns combining traditional and digital strategies, creative content development, and data insights for maximum effectiveness.

  3. Brand Presence Enhancement and Social Media Management: Utilizing extensive experience, I enhanced Centre In The Square’s brand presence in the entertainment industry globally. I crafted compelling PR strategies, managed online reputation, and provided social media management services tailored for entertainment. My expertise ensured amplified brand visibility, fan engagement, and increased ticket sales across various platforms.
